Our company has made many kinds of the plastic Auto lamp guard 2K mould of precision mould tools.

This kind of product is generally composed of hard plastic made of PP+ABS material plus soft plastic

made of TPE material. Therefore, two sets of molds are required for production at the same time.

So this kind of mold has two molding methods. The first method is to make a two-color mold,

which needs to be produced on a two-color injection molding machine. The advantage is that

the molding method and structure are stable, but the cost is relatively high; the second method is to

use over moulding. This method requires two injection molding machines, that is, one injection molding

machine produces hard plastics, and then the hard plastic products are placed in the other injection molding

machine for secondary molding.

The advantage of the second molding method is low cost, but the disadvantage is that it is unstable, and the

production cycle is very long. It is suitable for small batch production.
